Developmental Wings, Inc.

Developmental Wings is currently offering the following programs:

1.  Developmental Horseback Riding - Sessions will resume in September 13, 2011 and are held on Tuesday evenings at the Sequoyah County Fairgrounds Building.

2.  Music and Art Therapy -   Sessions will be on Thursday evenings from 6:00 - 7:00 pm.

3. Wing Cadets -  Wing Cadets focus is to help improve the quality of life for children with special needs while providing them the opportunity to learn valuable life skills that they will use as adults. We focus on abilities, not disabilities and accommodations will be made for each child's need.

The sports program gives special needs children a chance to be part of a team, to feel included, and to play fun games while exercising their minds and bodies, learning new skills and making new friends. The sports program consists of softball, bowling, horseback riding, and karate.

Wing Cadets will also have a program called "Out and About". This program is a "field trip" based activity that will teach our kids about nature, our community, safety, history, all while doing fun and exciting activities. These activities will allow them to build self esteem and make friends all while having fun!

If you have any questions, please contact the Wing Cadets Director, Karla Haught, at 479-670-3751 or via email.

We plan to expand our services as funding becomes available.  Please visit our contacts page to request more information.
